Scorpions are nocturnal hunters. They take shelter during the day under numerous places. It could be in the concrete block columns, under wood piles, under rocks, anywhere they can get out of the sunlight.
When they come out to hunt, they generally will stay still and wait for the prey to walk back, and then they attack!
You may ask why they make their way into your home. Well, believe it or not, they dont know it is your home or a house for that matter. They are just trying to locate shelter and food and come across an opening and keep going. if you can fit a credit card in a crack, so can a scorpion. scorpions when they walk, have their body up off the ground.
